Best Everton player you have watched in you lifetime

I always have problems when it comes to discussions like this because I have been fortunate enough to witness so many great Everton players in my time I find difficult to separate them or to accord one the singular accolade of best.
Players I would subjectively put in my best list would be as follows,
Vernon
Young
Ball
Morissey
West
Harvey
Mckenzie
Latchford
Thomas
Southall
Heath
Reid
Sharp
Kanchelskis.
It would be difficult to pick a ‘best’ out of those contenders but if pressed I would select Southall because for a long period of time he was inarguably the best goalkeeper in the world and a privilege to watch in action.
No Dobson?

Just to lighten the mood given all the negativity. I was born in the early 80’s so too young to have clear memories of the great sides sadly. However, the best player I can remember well was Peter Beardsley. What a magical player he was. So sad we had to sell him when we did at the age of 30 when he went on to have 3 to 4 great seasons at Newcastle after (it was actually heartbreaking to watch the below video of his time at the barcodes) Outside of Rooney who was too raw when he was with us at the beginning and whose legs had gone by the time we got him back we have not had anybody close to this level of natural talent at the club since. Would be interested to hear from others

The immortal twinkle toes Rod Belfitt.

Agree with you on all of them Eggsy, except I would drop McKenzie for Labone Or Wilson.

As many say, Big Nev was the best and outfield Kanchelskis was dynamite Steven and Sheedy, Lineker, Beardsley and an honourable mention for Gary Speed for me. Rooney, Arteta , Baines and Pienaar more modern times and nobody in at least a decade anywhere near.
