Neville Southall - and it's not even close. A Colossus among the giants of the 80s. Still a Colossus, by all accounts, sadly, but the greatest player of the last 40 years, an all-time great.

Still love that mid 90s side of limpar, kanchelskis, Ferguson etc.. Such a shame it all fell away as quickly as it had come together

He sold the horse and cart when we were down at Wembley in 33 to an A Steptoe who said he was going to go into the second hand goods business.
Uncle Cyril joined the RAF and was tragically shot down over Hamburg in 43.

As many say, Big Nev was the best and outfield Kanchelskis was dynamite Steven and Sheedy, Lineker, Beardsley and an honourable mention for Gary Speed for me. Rooney, Arteta , Baines and Pienaar more modern times and nobody in at least a decade anywhere near.

Gary Speed is a good shout. His sale was very weird as well especially when he was a blue.

Bally was tremendous - worked his socks off, never gave up, scored, created, tackled, lead by example (although Labby was the calming captain), an exciting player, a winner!! Our generation loved him, he loved the club - devastated when he went to the Gunners. Such a sad passing as well.
