i think i said previously, i dont like gestures in the game. I go to watch the football, not be lectured to about topics from a footballer. Who is probably only wearing the band, because his PR team think it will be good for his brand.

What's tokenism about a rainbow colored arm band? Are all arms bands inherently token because they're usually what, yellow or something and there ain't no yellow people on the field.

Ashamed at the behaviour of lots of England fans. Booing the German national anthem and all the horrible stuff aimed at a little German girl crying because her team lost being particular low points.

I have nothing else to add…my opinion mate.
As an outsider I feel conflicted about it. I see an overwhelming amount of the English, calling out the crap behavior as it was. And I know like every country, or really anything that will draw Fandom, you're gonna get your crazies. I know most of you, actually all of you on here from England aren't calling a 5 yr old girl a c***. Or I'd give you the benefit of the doubt lol.
At the same time though, that was a pretty audible boo. There were more than a few tweets and comments at that girls expense. And I see a frightengly large amount of idiots calling this behavior dark humor? Not frightengly large in terms of size like millions, frightening in that I see people saying this crap and supporting each other on social media garbage.
So I've always rooted for England unless they play the US or Germany. Those are the only two countries I have stronger ties to than England... but after that stuff yesterday, more so the girl than the anthem, I'm not sure I want those heathens to get the joy they would out of seeing England win a trophy.
You can have an opinion but if it's absolutely bonkers you're going to get called out.
