You did the right thing. I used to think D was alright, but he really started to irritate me once he went tumbling down the culture war rabbit hole and began viewing everything through that prism. Even reading his stuff on Russell Brand boiled my piss there, so many credible accusations of sexual assault and impropriety and all he cared about was the "MSM" and "the timing" as if it hadn't been a 4 or 5 year investigation up until that point. Moron.
 

Dave chose his targets with careful planning and consistently engaged in controversy in an admirable manner. There are only a limited number of defenses against such unwavering commitment. Sad to be writing that in past tense.

I had some good chats about music and synth nerd stuff with him, but his brain was poisoned by this stuff. It was like catnip to him. One mention of horse gel and he’d be off on one of his 50 paragraph, multi-quote rants again.

Holy calamity, I opened the thread and found myself at your post and thought it was a ref to Mr K's absence. Imagine my relief and finding my error.
