Make a telephone call mate. And throw it at a wall with every confidence that the wall would suffer more damage than the phone.

When I got an iPhone I dropped it, tried to catch it and ended up batting it into a wall. Safe to say it didn't fair to well :( . Is that Beats audio on the back?

Yeah HTC One has Beats Audio, but it isn't a gimmick, the sound is absolutely ridiculous. Nothing else comes close to it.

Getting an upgrade in a couple of weeks, torn between this, the S4 and the xperia Z.

I might just flip a.... three sided coin.

Seen all three in person - to me, the S4 isn't a big enough step up from the S3 to justify the cost. It feels cheap in the hand too. That said, it's crazy fast and it has expandable storage, which is it's main selling point over the One.

The Xperia Z is a very good phone, if anything it's underrated. Feels premium, really nice screen, suffers from a bit of Sony bloatware which sours the experience and the sound is really low.

The HTC One is comfortably the best phone of the three all round. It beats everything in every area you care to think of, except for the storage (32GB, non-expandable).

In general though, whatever one you can get the best deal on you'll get a great phone in return.
