Wife bought a decent set of nonstick pans and with that we've had to make sure that utensils are silicone so as not to damage the pans.
Cleaning after cooking these days is ridiculously easy, just blasting with the sprayer removes pretty much everything.
Game changer

Serious kit that Dewalt stuff, built for a man who can. I'll stick with my cheapo Ryobi stuff.
The wife got a new Hoover recently and I was embarrassed when she told her mate that "Kev's using the old one to Hoover his shed"
I had to explain to them that it was no longer a vaccuum cleaner . . . it's now been repurposed as a top end sawdust removal unit lollol

I got a thick blue pullover in the sales and it's so warm I can walk about without a jacket outside, which in Scotland is no mean feat. Saves on heating bills too. Result!

A long handled shoehorn is the best investment I ever made, much easier to just slip your shoes on and off without bending down.

That’s a fine idea for me.. having fractured my finger trying to get my shoe on once (that does lead me to think a thread to discuss the dumbest ways we have injured ourselves could be good )… I think this could be a game changer

Log burner last autumn. By luck rather than judgment, ordered it from a local company just before the world decided to get one. Not a day goes by when I dont wonder why on earth didnt Nik and I get one instead of the open fire we had for ages.

Dressing oneself can be a risky time for those of us getting on a bit. All that bending down, standing on one leg and struggling into shirts and jumpers - frequently in the dark!
