Update my toe has only just recovered - after seeing a great other NHS podiatrist after 20 more appointments - he managed to just about save my big toe nail - same grade as the butcher who destroyed the original nail ...
I will be e mailing his boss to thank him on his professional approach & curtiosy on how he performed a miracle to save my toenail ......just started gone able to wear a shoe after going most places in my slippers ....

Still think it's missing the word 'greasy' somewhere in that title.

I think that ‘Grubby’ is more a little descriptive than greasy.
