This thread made me think…are there any films in which someone is grabbed by an industrial pair of tongs around their upper body, another pair of tongs around their lower body, then ‘twisted’ in opposite directions at great speed?

One of the worst twists would be Eternals, because I could see it coming 5 minutes into the movie

There was another twist I did see coming (Star Trek: Into Darkness) where I did enjoy it though, even though most of the cinema didn't seem to get it

The Hitcher (the original) has a scene in which one of the characters, think played by Jennifer Jason Leigh is tied between a truck and it's trailer and meets an unfortunate end.

Shattered was one of the most surprising twists I ever saw in a movie made in the late eighties / early nineties starring Tom Berenger, Bob Hoskins and the lovely Greta Scaatchi. Its just something I never saw coming.

Jaws. Not the film but if you watch the film then read the book you'll realise how amazing Spielbergs vision is because the book is an erotic story about Ellen Brody being an absolute hussy and screwing Hooper behind Chief Brodys back. When Quint says "Here's to swimming' with bow legged women" he's referring to the book and Ellen Brody being an absolute mattress back the little snake. Not meaning to be crude here but I never ever thought I could throw one out to Jaws..... Read the book. You'll feel the blood running right into your buster browns
