War makes great cinema

Been mulling over this for a while, and think we can go a step further. Best War Trilogy.
Obviously 'Star Wars' gets a nod, but can't be winner because of the abject prequels.
Then there is the obvious Vietnam series by Oliver Stone, starring a plethora of Hollywood pretty boys. (These handsome devils deserve a thread of their own, though I wont touch upon why) 'Platoon', 'Born on the fourth of July', and 'Heaven & Earth' (I had previously thought 'Casualties of War' was the third installment - I was wrong) Anyway, make of Charlie Sheen and Tom Cruise what you will.
Finally, and my choice for best War Trilogy has to go to Sergio Leone's Dollars Trilogy, Warring gangs first, the second a battle for revenge, and the third set against the civil war.

I watched Schindlers List again with my pops the other day.

Mesmeric film and definitely in my top 5...but how I've managed to watch it twice within the space of a month is beyond me.
