They’re playing the same formation.
He needs to hold the ball better. He’s less of an aerial threat so he needs to be much better with the ball at his feet.
His pressing and work as been fine.
He’s doing exactly what I guess he’s been told to do tonight… get yourself about and make it uncomfortable for their back 4 … I reckon Dyche will change it around 60 minutes and get DCL on
Do t necessarily think he’s been poor, but I’m baffled why he’s started him here and not against spurs.
Spurs play a high line and are susceptible to balls over the top / in behind which seems to suit Beto.
Against these we need someone who the ball can stick to and draw free kicks from their defenders which seems more suited to DCL.
Unless Dyche had more or less written this game off so thought it was one to give Beto a start.
