The same scout that signed Niasse must have recommended Beto. There's just no way that anyone actually watched him in person multiple times. He was signed on the back of a YouTube reel

The funny thing about him is he gets into scoring positions. He had the sitter, then the disallowed header and 2nd half the shot he smashed into the crowd when he could have drilled it across the keeper.

All 3 misses come down to a massive lack of composure and simple skillets required as a striker.

He cannot play upfront on his own. In Italy he played with another forward who could play him in. Hoofing balls upto him and expecting him to keep hold of it or do something with it by himself isn’t it.

He is a poor footballer made to look diabolical due to how we are playing him.

I'd want my striker to be slotting those chances from 3yds out tbh mate but that's up to you if you don't think that was a sitter.

He and Doucoure need to get onside. Basic forward play is racing back to get onside before the ball is delivered. Not slowly ambling in an offside position. Not sure if it's just laziness or a lack of fundamentals for this level

Yeah I agree actually. He's a pretty terrible footballer who is more than capable of missing chances easier than that one, but the one last night was by no means a tap in.
