I’m happy for him. It wasn’t a signing I liked but he’s never done anything but give 100% and he’s fully deserved a proper chance. Circumstances have finally aligned and he’s taken the opportunity. He’s got goals in him and I hope he keeps working for them like he has been as they’ll come.

I would argue he played a part in our first goal by completely taking one of their players out of the play by shielding him off.

DCL was clean through against Villa away twice and missed badly both times.

He missed a big chance vs Villa as well in adding time, and 2 big chances vs Spurs. His goal was brilliant no doubt.

I think Beto had more chances today than DCL has had in the last 2 seasons.

But is Dom making those runs and creating those chances? Is he finishing those today if he was healthy? I don't think you are making a great point here. And yes, Dom has had plenty of chances this season. He has struggled in front of the net and he has struggled to create the chances that Beto has today. Blame it on his style of play or whatever, but Beto is looking to take on chances. Dom is waiting on the perfect cross from Mykolenko. Beto is the better option right now if that is the case.

Me too. I wanted us to lose so I could be right about Moyes. Oh well I will console myself with the three points.

In the end, it was game totally made for him against a high defensive line, well times runs and composed finishes. Will be excited to see how he acts against teams that play a low block.

Real sliding doors moment for the fella, no injury to Broja and DCL and I reckon hes in Italy now, forgotten, written off as a flop.

But Super Davey Moyes comes in, teaches him how to play football in a week and he will grab himself double figures in the next 15 games.

It's small margins sometimes, Lindstrom pulled off at HT throwing a strop on the pitch and looking a forlorn figure looked pretty much done here in truth, fast forward it three months and he's bouncing round like a Jack Russel with a massive smile on his face...

Sky Sports Transfer Muppets have just stated that Broja is staying at Everton for the remainder of the season.

So it's buy or loan from abroad then...

Hope it's true. We draw that one at Brighton if he isn't on the pitch and he's been involved in many other points winning action this season too.

He's about 100% more influential to us getting a decent result as DCL.

Keep Beto and get a playmaker in behind him. He's wasted coming back for the ball and chasing down channels. He needs to be on the edge of the box playing off the shoulder of the CBs.

DCL made runs too mate. But we have spent 2 years whacking the ball 8 ft in the air to him and Beto with nobody within 20 yards of them.

I'd say something though mate, yes DCL can make those runs as well, but one on one he's absolutely a shocking finisher, always was better without time to think DCL

Honestly, I dont care, I find the "Dom wouldnt have scored that laughable", but honestly, our number 9 scored 2 and we won, so im happy, very happy.

Ive made my feelings clear about Beto and DCL, but for now Dom is missing and Beto grabbed his chance today with both hands, im over the moon, long may it continue.

Yes probably true. I think the 2nd goal today was the one I wouldn't be sure on DCL getting. Beto really composed himself.

The first goal was a good strike across the goal, similar to what DCL would do.

I just find it odd people seem to be making out the key change is the striker, as opposed to the manager and the method.
