2024/25 Beto

He’s running the channels playing on the last man. I.e. playing to what strengths he has.
Asking him to be included too much in the build up isn’t his game. His second touch is normally foul.

Promising signs but it’s one game
Think he probably knows his touch is poor himself and let the ball do the work and just put the finishing touch to the 2 goals

Shades of Rom at the weekend, running on to balls between the lines, powering through and finishing. He never took a touch just buried them.

Moyes is quite clever, he knows he will never be a target man, less touches the better, but the man can finish.

We shall see in the next few weeks.

I’ve read that Beto has played 1774 minutes and scored 10, and after 1774 minutes for us Lukaku also had 10.

That is wild 😂.

There are similarities in their game, Beto being like a Lidl Lukaku wouldn’t be the worst thing.

Being totally honest I think he’s nowhere near the level needed but you can’t not like the lad. I loved Amo and he was nowhere near it either 😂.

To purely play devil’s advocate, if they have the same time-to-goals ratio can he be described as Lidl?

I just like how moyes tries to play to his strengths instead of lodging him in a system he's incompatible with
