Defenders are clearly scared of him running onto through balls

100%. You can see his pace fears them.
He'll miss a few and score a few. But i like defenders who have it in the back of their mind that this fella can roast them with 1 decent through ball.

Didn't DCL score before getting injured last time out?

I get the justified criticism DCL's received but Moyes will 100% get more out of him than Dyche ever did as we clearly play to striker's strengths and he'll also go on scoring runs. However, on merit, Beto should be starting even if DCL was fit, he's just proper in form currently.

Truth is we don't know if both won't go cold for months, which is what the problem is. They're both prone to inconsistencies or dry spells, where if you miss 1 your head goes; Beto seems to be better at having the "miss one, go again" mentality at least, so the mentality is there, the skill sort of backs it up, which is great to see.

DCL did score before getting injured, and after another run of games not scoring.

We know DCL will, Beto is having his first run of starts since DCL came back from injury the season we signed him, so we will see between now and the end of May whether he`s just had a purple patch or not
