On all the chances he did really well in the lead ups to the finishes. Just didn't go for him today, will on another day

He was never going to pass that 3rd chance up to Alcaraz who was fuming with him

You want your strikers to be selfish and score goals. I can't blame him. It was a good chance for him but it was probably a sure thing for Alcaraz. Problem is, Beto has to actually see him (which he might not have) and he has to not fluff the pass (which is very easy to do in this league). Most players would do exactly what Beto did.

Clearly a real mixed bag from him tonight but I agree he didn’t hide and caused them problems all night. Not the future for us clearly but he’ll do a decent enough job until we sign Isak in the summer.

Did anyone else notice the interview with Moyes before the United game. When asked about Beto’s form he said something like “when I joined the club I saw him and thought this isn’t going to work but he’s done really well”. I thought that was quite telling (and perhaps a bit too honest),

I don't want to be too critical as the lad is beginning to win me round (which I didn't think possible a couple of months ago), but we should have won tonight and the reason we didn't was his poor finishing (3rd one wasn't a terrible effort TBF).

Still, his pace and movement have created a couple of those chances himself I guess

Handful. proper Moyes type striker, looks a far better player compared to under Dyche. Should've slotted at least 1 of those 1v1s though

I dunno, I thought that at first, but the defender falls over, would have been interesting for sure, but if he goes down we would be saying "Why didnt he carry on".

Needs more variety in his finishing, their keeper was looking for that low sidefoot from him all match. Probably why Beto decided to try and go around him on the first 1v1.

He can be forgiven for missing those chances tonight as he has been instrumental in our great upturn in form this month. I don't know why he tried to be too clever with the first one and take it round the keeper when his goals 1 on 1 have all been when he draws the keeper and slides it past him.

Thought he was excellent in the first half.

Worked his backside off and is a thorn in opposition defenders. He’s exactly what we need and will only get better the more he plays.

All three chances on target. Just unlucky he bags at least one of those on another night

The most surprising thing was he didn't bury them all with the form he is in. Worked hard again though and keeps getting into these positions
