I respect him as a player and his contribution to the club but I lost respect for him as an individual.

For me its not so much a difference of opinion rather Sharp used his position in the media to back Kenwrights regime and become a lap dog to grease the wheels.

Had he just been a BK kiss arse I wouldn't have minded but to then publicly dismiss the Evertonians concerns over Kenwrights regime shown he was more bothered about his position in the cushy boys club of Bill's than of seeing the club have any chance of prospering under a new direction.

Fans forget how much of a mess we were off the field in those days - without Moyes turning water into wine every season we could have easily imploded never to return and ultimately Sharp backed that regime.

I love sharpy as a player, and I know he loves the club, but he is just a yes man now, right up kenwrongs behind and had been for some time. The appointment to the board was just to try and appease fans (seems to have worked.)

I'd have big Nev back involved at the club in a heartbeat - he's spoke the truth about what's going on for years and been shunned by kenwright for having the balls to speak out against him. It's a disgrace how he's been treated.

We all need to be more Nev, including Sharpy.

It isn't going to be possible for us to close the gap on the teams with more money by buying proven players. Can't happen. Impossible.

He says some things that are certainly right about having a philosophy, needing to have players buy in, etc. But it isn't going to be fixed overnight by with proven players.

It obviously wouldn't happen whilst Bill has his feet under the table but its hard to argue with what he's saying. If we continue our obsession with employment based on people 'getting Everton' Nev gets my vote, how about the fan rep on the board, might need a bigger board room though lol

We all want that. But there is a bit of reality needed between the dream and present.
Fact is clubs above us are in for better players. dcl amd Pickford are not what we need to replace. We can’t compete with the actual big spenders any more.
I agree 100% that we need to find our identity again.
