well if you don't like it why come in spoling it i just want to get people's opinion on who were the biggest of the 4. Go back to your moutinho thread. Now thats something which should be closed

To be fair to Goat, he did'nt start the Mouthinho thread, ToxtethBlue did. I do agree however that the thread should be closed because we are not getting Moutinho this summer, next summer or indeed until his contract runs out, even then we wont get him.

i'm not biased, but after travelling the world through europe, america and asia there is only one true name that young and old both know.

THE BEATLES.

Of the four, I think Elvis is undoubtedly the bigger icon, although personally I prefer the music of John Lennon, Frank Sinatra and Michael Jackson (in that order)

i voted elvis but i think he only barely edges out Sinatra, Sinatra probably had the best voice of all time, but without Elvis rock music would barely even exist today.

the beatles are definitely icons, and i think lennon is iconic himself, but not to the extent of elvis, i think without his influence music today would definitely suffer, but there were great bands similar to the beatles at the time the beatles had gotten big, so i think rock music would have still pulled through

tbh i like Michael Jacksons music, but i think his biggest contribution to music has been dance, he revolutionized dance, he's now the benchmark for amazing dancing. the dance style popularly associated with rap music (even though hip-hop is completely different from MJ's style), would not exist were it not for jackson, so we definitely can't sell his influence short.

What he said.

Hootie and the blowfish deserve to be on the poll before the guy that talked his way through every song, retired every year for 30 years and was backed by the mob. Pardon my being a stickler.
