You've got be a special kind of weird to watch that yesterday and decide to put the blame on a minority shareholder. Proper, proper weird.
Stop trying to downplay his influence. He holds the role as CHAIRMAN of the club.

Daniel Levy is a minor shareholder and chairman of Tottenham yet he is very influential at Spurs.

It is more of the culture he has fostered in his time at the club. When a football club gets more recognition for being a charity, your priorities are out of whack.

Giving rambling speeches and hugging/kissing players for doing what they are paid to do sets the wrong message.

Having a near full coaching staff of ex players who did nothing as players sets the wrong message.

If Everton could be summed up in one sentence since kenwright took over, it's that "it's ok if we don't win because we're a family".

Nobody should blame Kenwright for the result yesterday. What they should blame him for is his big part in creating an environment at the club where performances and results like yesterday are commonplace, accepted as the norm and just shrugged off. Bill Kenwright's legacy at this club is one of monumental failure. We'll never move forward while he continues to hang around the club like a bad smell.

Because we've become so much better since we started sacking managers every 5 minutes and not giving players lockers? We lose because we have rubbish players, not because the chairman is an attention seeker.

he is still here while that is going on, the one constant in all are recent non glorious past..
And there's the rub, the same as it always is when people have a go at Kenwright. You have to decide what it is you think he's doing wrong, and yet people just throw everything at him, even stuff that completely contradicts itself. Either the problem is that we're too soft as a club or it isn't. You can't blame Kenwright for both cultivating a culture which accepts losing and for being part of one which is ruthless. I'm not saying he's blameless but just blaming him for everything is a bit daft.

not everything but he is part of the problem. seems a likeable fella just not a man , who should be involved at are club at the top table , don't wish him any harm just wish he would depart and just be a fan.

Obviously we have lost this game because of the players but other people are talking about looking at the bigger picture. The bigger picture is since kenwright got his claws into everton results like this are common place, The man breeds mediocrity and stagnation.

I've heard it from quite a few people that there are people at the club who don't want everton to kick on because they have a nice cushy job doing what their doing. If everton start pushing forward and asking more of these people they will be found lacking and replaced. So these people are actively trying to hold everton back for self preservation. These people are at the moment protected by kenwright because their family.

Who do you think got DBB as our CEO? It was kenwright. Someone who's never held the place of CEO In charge of a multi million pound business all because she was in charge of eitc, that is the definition of mediocrity.

Them across the park went and got the head of ea one of the biggest company's in the world with a yearly net revenue of 5 billion. We got someone who ran our charity its pathetic and its how the whole club is run no wonder why their light years ahead of us as a club.

We will never progress as a club untill kenwright and his little minions are cut out of this club like the cancer they are.

Again, i'm not defending him in a general sense, but again, you're twisting the facts to make it sound more dramatic. Are results like this only commonplace since he took over? He came in at a time when we'd been dominating global football for decades and ruined it all did he? No. Results like this were commonplace at Everton long before he took over, and have continued after he's been sidelined.

You're making the same basic error/deliberate lie that people do with Moyes all the time. We hadn't won at Arsenal or Chelsea for years before he came and haven't for years after he left, but somehow that all becomes because of the mindset he introduced. It makes no sense. None. It's an embarrassingly childlike view, which doesn't stand up to even the slightest scrutiny. And yet people peddle it all the time as if it's a fact.

What's even worse is that half the people who still believe Kenwright is to blame for our current ills also believe Usmanov is the one pulling the strings. As if he's happy to let Kenwright pick the CEO if he's actually in charge. Just think about that for a minute. Once again, you (not the individual you) have to pick a side. You can't believe that both Usmanov is in charge in the background AND that Kenwright is making the key decisions. It doesn't add up.

Kenwright has been on the board since 1989 so actually when kenwright did start getting power at Everton we'd won the leauge two seasons before and just had one of our most successful spells in our history and we were regarded as a top side in the world.

We've won one cup since he got on evertons board and nothing since he became the second highest personal shareholder but the head of a consortium called true blue shareholdings that controlled 68% of the shares at Everton. The more and more power this man has gotten at Everton the more mediocre it has become.

That second paragraph is pure waffle to be honest mate. What are you talking about there? Who mentioned moyes? Are you using him as a analogy? If so it's a bad one as kenwright is still here and still has power in the board room because he's our chairman. What scrutiny? Because all you've said is you can't blame this one individual match on kenwright.

It's all about the larger view mate, the big picture. It's not about individual things the man has done but a collection of them seen as a whole. Just go back and look at the things he's done as Everton owner it's embarrassing and goes to prove why he shouldn't be anywhere near our club.

The only thing I will give kenwright credit for mind, is for getting moyes in and sticking with him because if it wasn't for moyes I think we'd of went down and I don't think we would of came back up.

You don't understand the second paragraph? I don't know how I can make it clearer to be honest. It's an extension of the point, a simile. I'm saying people also do this about Moyes. I'm not claiming Moyes is on the board or anything. It's not hard to follow.

Bigger picture again though, got it. And I'm the one waffling...

Kenwright is obviously not personally at fault for yesterday - that's down to the players and probably the people who signed them and paid them brewsters of which Kenwright may have a small part...eg, he gave Coleman a big contract when he broke his leg.
But he has set the tone for the last 20yrs.

*judge from Porridge in tones of doom*...William Luvington Boyspen Hickson Kenwright.
This court finds you Guilty.
Clang !

How is referencing moyes mentality who left 7 years ago comparable to the complaints of a man that preceded him and is still here to this day in a position of power? Your "simile" is lacks any clear definition and is skewed drastically in the definition of a time frame. You might as well of be talking about smiths mentality for the similarity it has with kenwright. Maybe its just one of those things that made sense in your head when you wrote it?

Nah, mate you're right obviously it's just a one off game and we can't have a go at kenwright for his continued trophyless reign as owner or the fact the club has done nothing but decline since he got on the board, or the fact he saddled us with crazy debt by taking out a loan with insane intrest that the club was supposed to pay off with the cable money but it fell through and kneecapped us in the transfer market for the next decade and a half. Or the fact that he managed to mess up the kings dock stadium. Or the fact he nearly sold us once to some mush in a bed sit by accident. Or the fact that he allowed us to go 2 years without signing a player for any money at a time when the squad desperately needed refreshing. Or the fact that he's signed off on a kitbag deal worth 3 million a year for 10 years when over that decade the going rate more then tripled. Or the fact that he's absolutely inept commercially where he's stuck with sponsors like Chang who were paying us 1.5m a season compared to Sunderland who were relagation fodder and getting 20m a season for their shirt sponsor.

But, nah. Lets all just forget all that because it was all just a one off game and there's no big picture. Just a one off game so no big deal. I hope your wrists don't get cramp from all that clapping you do mate.
