I think the focus should be put back on the board again after the season finishes, fans have dragged the team out of this, sounded out lampard ourselves compared to martinez & periera - the cheek of kenwright to worm his way out again now, wouldve been martinez in charge if he'd had his way. Wish he'd keep his mouth shut and leave
Yeah that would of sucked having Martinez not Benitez

Despite not wanting Kenwright at the club, hounding him is not the right way to proceed. He’s stubborn and will just dig his heels in.

A concerted effort and polite protest will have more impact, Moshiri too is stubborn. He will be more inclined to retain the whole structure. We need to find a way to communicate politely but firmly that change is needed. Many are now blocked from discussion as shareholders, fans forum looks more like a nodding dog.

Is there any chance we could get the big forums (fora?) together to approach the club with data from fans to show discontent in a reasonable way, without the doggerel and often malicious bile found either on twitter or here.

I suppose the hope of reasoned discussion is too much to ask for!

Disagree to be honest mate.

Moshiri is very reactive.

I mean, there's loads of examples but see Marcel Brands. Promoted to the board, given a new contract in April - a few months later, a whiff of fan discontent and gone.

I'm of the view that Moshiri retains Kenwright because;

1. He thinks the fans like 'Blue Bill'
2. He genuinely values him - January: "Our Chairman is very important. We are keeping the Chairman as long as we can. He manfully fulfils his functions and I really appreciate what the Chairman does.”
3. Maybe some sort of contract/clause/agreement that he remains until the stadium is complete. Kenwright does see himself as some sort of guardian of the club - any sale/takeover could have had stadium as a prerequisite. That could be absolute nonsense of course, and it likely is - it's just a niggling feeling I have.

With regards to forums approaching the club - I'll never do that. It's not my/our place, I wouldn't want to even try to represent fans. What we do, is run an annual fan survey to quantify fan sentiment. Generally, fans have approved of the board;

She couldn't really fail, she was essentially replacing Elstone. The fella banging on about all sorts outside of St John Centre would have been an able replacement.

Her appointment was just a totally uninspiring move, so very Everton. So very Kenwright, looking after HIS Everton family. I get it, he's risked bringing in well regarded execs in the past and has been burned when then recognise within days the club is a bin fire and resign. How embarrassing.

I have no issue hiring Evertonians, provided that they're the best available and attainable. I doubt that when we were looking to fill the role of CEO she was the best candidate, she was definitely the safest.

She's done 'OK' but that's it. She's done nothing to help the club grow. Put it another way..... If another PL club wanted a CEO, would anybody worry she was going to be poached? Nah.
Locking in construction costs at BMD is huge and will definitely help the club grow. You’ve given no specific reasons she should be fired. She may have been an uninspired choice but there’s no evidence she’s doing a bad job.

You're quite right, but I didn't say she needs to be fired. I did say that it's highly likely there were better candidates available. (There usually are) Instead, we risked weakening EITC where she was doing an excellent job to shoehorn her in as Club CEO. Nice and cosy.

As for locking in the stadium costs, it wouldn't have been just on her. We have Colin Chong, you know...the actual stadium guy. He'd have been working closely with the finance department and legal. No doubt DBB sat in on a few meetings and gave valuable input from the club perspective and was one of the final sign offs, but to imagine she was in all alone with LOR and whoever else playing hardball is laughable.

I thought I read she was leaving and had handed in her notice or has something changed?

I think he mainly keeps Bill as a shield.
