The thing is Bill's not worrying about the scoreline - it's all about the optics. He's there facing the music...He's saying with that: "I get it, you need to vent and I'm not hiding". He gets credit for that off a lot of fans who still view him as Mr Everton.

Exactly , he relies on being “ one of us” , that’s the only thing he can possibly use to retain his supporters. That clip gives him that but unfortunately the people started talking over him amd gave him an “ out” he didn’t have to give any real answers and got more credit in the bank with those who still believe he has out best interests at heart

When asked if it was acceptable for the club not to have won anything in 27 years, our great sweating blubbering mess of a chairman replys with: “But, we’ve had some good times in those years”.......

What good times is he taking about?! We've achieved absolutely nothing during all that time. This is just one more blatant lie from BS Billy, just get that useless, wretched oaf out of the club ffs!

The "We've had some good times" statement will do for him.

While it is true that he thrives in these staged confrontations, he's dropped the ball this time. Perhaps the only real comment that was audible was the aforementioned one, and that's hugely damaging. It's tantamount to being surrounded by starving people in a famine and telling them: "But we had some good meals before." Essentially, it is his "let them eat cake."

The world now knows that Bill is happy for Everton to avoid a few dangerous relegation battles, sit in mid-table, and have the odd cup run over quarter of a century. These are his standards, and they are now out in the open. I don't think that's going to be good enough for a significant section of the fanbase, especially when there is a billionaire around and a new stadium rising in the docks...

Was the day I pretty much gave up on this club mate, never known such airhead supporters of any team.
That's the day I decided to stop going .
Ended up having a row with some big fat fella in the Parkend who was sticking for kenwright, must have thought I wouldn't say anything because he was a unit, started off smartarse ended up near hiding under his seat ,
I said this club , him and you deserve each other full of it , soft as [Poor language removed] and havnt got the bollocks when it comes down to it.
I thought fk this hate , what this club have become and half the fans deserve it, lasted a few seasons after and just couldn't shift the feeling that my Everton just didn't exist anymore on or of the pitch.
Fell sorry for those that still go they deserve better.

lets not get things wrong here, he did save the club from the Peter Johnson era, mortgaged his house etc, however, it is always best to leave the part before you are asked to leave. He should have gone some time ago.
When he remortgaged his house it was to fund an increase in his shareholding.
Not pay off any debt the club had.

And he also said "it's not been 27 years" he is a fantasist an actor and a massive factor In the mediocrity that runs through the club from top to bottom

Full credit to him for speaking with the fans.

However, he came across as an aloof clueless chairman with absolutely no self awareness.

After watching that, i dont see how his position isnt under threat.

Surely Moshiri watching that isnt going to be impressed.

Moshiri came out the day before saying what a great chairman he is

He hasn't got a clue
