Financially of course no argument from me there - but there is much more that goes on in the background in terms of contracts, negotiations, discussions with Peel, world heritage, public consultations, talks with the Council/Government, Laing O'Rouke etc. that the CEO will have been involved in.

Herself and Chong have done a wonderful job on the BMD project and deserve a lot of credit as does Sir Farhad for funding the project.
All that stuff you are mentioning, that is the sole purpose we created a position and now employ Colin Chong to deal with those things as he has experience in this area. Denise has the rest of the club to worry/concentrate on. I have no doubt she is kept informed of progress but it's really very little to do with her.

Will agree to disagree with you on this, enjoy the rest of your day.

O come on, what is he responsible for? If the club hadnt of been destroyed over the last 7 years he wouldnt of even been considered by Farhad, we would of had better options, but we didnt, no quality manager was interested and the 1.8m budget was never going to appeal to anyone
Destroyed our creativity by bombing out James and Digne

Rushed our main striker back from injury, before he was fully fit, which is why he still has spells out injured

Signed Rondon

Did absolutely nothing to stop the run of form that got him sacked, had he done so he might have eased the negativity against him

Any other manager would look at the budget, look at the squad and look at the loan and free agency markets and pick better options than Gray, Townsend and Rondon

He fast forwarded a mid table Everton in to a relegation fighting Everton. He got rid of any creative players in the team. Something Lampard also failed to fix. That’s why we are still a relegation battling team.

Now not everything is his fault the board let him down like they have let a few managers down.

Still he chased Digne out who was a threat going forward. we replaced him with a terrible LB. We lost Iceland so we only really had one more creative player with any real quality in James and he chased him away too. It’s of no coincidence that Everton have really struggled with out having a bit of quality in the final third.

Yes, even I've got to admit that Benitez was on a hiding to nothing. Abuse from fans, no money to spend on a woefully inadequate squad etc.

But selling off James and Digne was grossly incompetent.

She is nothing to do with BMD, Colin Chong is in charge, his job role is Chief Stadium Development Officer. Another thing, when we lost the USM money it's her responsibility as CEO to find ways of making up that shortfall. Now for someone who has come from a background in charity work they should be pretty good when it comes to having ideas for raising revenue streams. The record sponsorship deal you keep harping on about is pathetic and it's literally just a few 100k more than the Cazoo one was, and is also with a shady crypto betting company something fans were assured would never happen again. Given the position we were in losing the USM she should be looking into every avenue possible from sponsoring the toilets to the seats to any square space thats left in the ground, anything that can generate a bit of extra income. You would think coming from a background in charity work she would be good at this stuff. She may not be as culpable as others such as Moshiri and Kenwright but she should have stayed at EITC, she is miles out of her depth trying to sit at the top table running the actual club.

100% this

She loves that £900,000 a year though

Ridiculous as that is

James had to leave as he was on extortionate wages - our wage bill was/is out of control. Digne got into an argument with Benitez and refused to play against Chelsea. Benitez takes some of the blame but you seem to excuse Digne of all wrong doing.

There is no evidence that DCL was rushed back other than talking heeds on social media with no evidence.

Had a £1.7m budget yet signed our current best forward and also Townie on a free who prior to his injury had scored 6 goals last season and had numerous assists - far better record than "starboy" who we've just coined in £40 millions for.

She was involved in hiring Laing O'Rouke pal, would have been involved in the contract negotiations etc. so she gets zero credit for that ? I guarantee if the construction company was miles behind schedule / going bust / workers on strike she/the club would be getting pelted by fans but when its going well its nothing to do with them ? Come on geezer.

I've never seen any terrible behaviour from DBB mate - I would be the first to call it out if I did but all I've seen is a local down to earth lady who's trying her best to run a basketcase club.

The two things im proud of being an Evertonian at present are - BMD & EITC in which DBB has had a hand in both... Thats not a coincidence.

State of you trying to give Baxendale credit for Laing O'Rouke's work

Who have had a mild winter that's allowed them to get ahead of the build schedule. That was late in starting too.

You're persistently trying to give her credit when it's nothing to do with her.

Like she was having Tony McDonough and Henry Winter briefed to claim the £550m stadium costs were fixed. That stadium now costs £760m and you think she deserves credit? Ridiculous!

You have zero clue what you are talking about with regards to Baxendale

If you know her personally. Tell her she's a disgrace from me. Those "business awards" in 2021 when the club couldn't sign players due to issues with the Premier League over P&S. Yet she thinks it's OK to accept "business awards". It's a joke 😡😡😡😡😡

Questionable judgement putting personal interests first. Questionable judgement just like the claims of "headlocks". Where's the evidence Denise?

"Everton CEO Professor Denise Barrett-Baxendale, MBE, has been named Business Woman of the Year and netted an awards hat-trick at the National Business Women’s Awards 2020.
Professor Barrett-Baxendale had already been named 'Business Woman of the Year’ in the large organisation category and ‘Influential Business Woman of the Year’, when she was revealed as the judges’ choice for the evening’s top honour.
And there was a fourth accolade for Professor Barrett-Baxendale when she received a silver award for Corporate Leader of the Year.
The Overall Business Woman of the Year award recognised Everton’s CEO for her exceptional leadership of Everton Football Club and steering the response of both the football club and its charity, Everton in the Community, to the global coronavirus outbreak.
That leadership includes overseeing the project to deliver a state-of-the-art 52,888-capacity waterfront home for the Club. The stadium project will enter the first phase of construction next week, creating 15,000 jobs and triggering an estimated £1bn boost to the city of Liverpool’s economy.

Other recent achievements for Professor Barrett-Baxendale include leading Everton into new business headquarters inside Liverpool's iconic Royal Liver Building, restructuring the leadership of the Everton Women's team, and being appointed to an Advisory Panel, chaired by Tracey Crouch MP, to provide expert advice to the Government’s Fan-Led Review
of Football Governance in the wake of the attempt by 12 clubs across Europe to create a Super League outside the traditional football pyramid.

Since her appointment as CEO, Everton has been named a Best Companies ‘Top 100’ employer for four years in a row and, despite the challenges posed by the pandemic, achieved its best-ever results in the 25-year history of the Premier League Fan Survey in 2021, benchmarking higher than the league average in every category and receiving recognition for its leadership, fan engagement and contribution to the local community."

She does nothing tho lad - what do all these business leaders know. Get her out NOW ! 🤦‍♂️

One of those three "business awards" was for EitC activities during Covid. She's not been involved with EitC since 2018. Before Covid. Charities are governed under the Charities Act and that requires them to operate independently of donors. Indeed that was why she was required (by law) to resign from EitC when becoming EFC CEO

Therefore why is she accepting an award for EitC? Why on earth is it awarded to her? She's prohibited by charity law from directing the activities of EitC as she's not a trustee. So why is she accepting an award for EitC?

Further the other two "business awards" aren't actually for business. Businesses like Everton are "for profit" entites. They look to create value for shareholders.

Everton have done nothing but lose money.

It looks nothing more than her self seeking publicity as usual. That's all she is about. Absolutely hopeless as a CEO and out of her depth. But loves the limelight and the £900,000 a year

Bill Kenwright likes it too as it distracts away from complete failure on the football field. No trophies in 28 years and counting

Mate if she wasn't entitled to the award then I assume the big corporate event ran by very successful people in the business game would be aware of the rules lol

Everton have lost money because of the Chairman/DOFs spending money like drunken sailors on rubbish players and giving them big contracts.

DBB has nothing to do with recruitment.
