"Everton CEO Professor Denise Barrett-Baxendale, MBE, has been named Business Woman of the Year and netted an awards hat-trick at the National Business Women’s Awards 2020.
Professor Barrett-Baxendale had already been named 'Business Woman of the Year’ in the large organisation category and ‘Influential Business Woman of the Year’, when she was revealed as the judges’ choice for the evening’s top honour.
And there was a fourth accolade for Professor Barrett-Baxendale when she received a silver award for Corporate Leader of the Year.
The Overall Business Woman of the Year award recognised Everton’s CEO for her exceptional leadership of Everton Football Club and steering the response of both the football club and its charity, Everton in the Community, to the global coronavirus outbreak.
That leadership includes overseeing the project to deliver a state-of-the-art 52,888-capacity waterfront home for the Club. The stadium project will enter the first phase of construction next week, creating 15,000 jobs and triggering an estimated £1bn boost to the city of Liverpool’s economy.

Other recent achievements for Professor Barrett-Baxendale include leading Everton into new business headquarters inside Liverpool's iconic Royal Liver Building, restructuring the leadership of the Everton Women's team, and being appointed to an Advisory Panel, chaired by Tracey Crouch MP, to provide expert advice to the Government’s Fan-Led Review
of Football Governance in the wake of the attempt by 12 clubs across Europe to create a Super League outside the traditional football pyramid.

Since her appointment as CEO, Everton has been named a Best Companies ‘Top 100’ employer for four years in a row and, despite the challenges posed by the pandemic, achieved its best-ever results in the 25-year history of the Premier League Fan Survey in 2021, benchmarking higher than the league average in every category and receiving recognition for its leadership, fan engagement and contribution to the local community."

She does nothing tho lad - what do all these business leaders know. Get her out NOW ! 🤦‍♂️

none of that gives her the right to be a CEO of a premier league football club, the only reason she is there is because Bill Kenwright loves yes men and yes women who will continually blow smoke up his fat arse. She should have stayed with EITC, but none of this will make any difference to you, no matter how many people tell you, you may as well be addressing the toilet Piss stone.

At the very least the offender would’ve received some form of sanction from the club.

Is she in your big norks calendar for this year ?

I imagine that would depend on if the situation was dealt with between the bloke involved and DBB which I assume it was for the plod to not be involved.

I said around the time this all went down that I thought the board used whatever happened as an excuse to not turn up at Goodison that weekend - but that doesn't mean that no incident had occured.

There is a difference between a lie and an exaggeration. You could get hit by a vehicle travelling 30mph but tell your mates down the boozer it was doing 50mph... that doesn't mean you wasn't hit by a car.

But what would give her the right mate ?

If she's qualified enough in the eyes of business leaders across the nation then why isn't she up to the standards set by the average joe fan who works down the pit for a living ?

It's not a thing any CEO should lie about.
It's not a thing any CEO should exaggerate.
If it's the truth, there should be consequences and when they made it public, they should have made the consequences public as well as the action.
If it's not the truth... well...
Either way, once it was made public, either DBB fires Prenno or releases a statement clearing up exactly what happened. Neither of these things happened.

Up until last season she had my support, primarily based on the fact that she had managed to fix in the stadium costs during a time of insane inflation.
Turns out this didn't happen.
I supported her switch from SportPesa partly on the grounds that she said the club didn't want to be associated with sports betting, but then she sanctions a deal with Stake.

There's a whole lot of smoke and mirrors with everyone involved with the running of this club, a clean sweep is needed.

have a quick look at our finances over the last two or is it three years running the club, isn't that what a CEO does and tell me again how qualified or how much of a good job she has been doing.

to be fair, she did organise the last trip to Mars, conquered Everest in flip flops and cured Covid according to you, so I will admit to her being busy....

This is the same at every club tho mate - did the scab 6 CEO's hold dialogue with their fanbases over plans to form an ESL? No they did it all in cloak and daggers.

Not saying thats right but these people are successful and powerful for a reason.

If it was doing 50mph you probably wouldn't be around to go down the boozer.

There is a Subtle difference between a Headlock and an Arm around the shoulder though.
They and her by default, inferred it was a form of assault.
Totally unsubstantiated or corroborated, anywhere.

Therefore, an untruth has been used to further their agenda against the fans, the same ones lauded for "keeping us up" last season.
None of them deserve a chance to grace Goodison again on this shoddy and ridiculous hit piece ever again.

Crikey, one of the most embarrassing things I've seen on the internet and I've seen TikToks of a fella in a nappy begging for feet pics.
