How do they feel?

Where's the "illegal" bit?

We do now.

The bit where the government come in and say "stop this now, this whole thing isn't going to be allowed to happen". That bit fella.

The idea in itself wasn't illegal if you want to split hairs. It's that any actual attempt to begin construction, which they were desperately trying to push through, would have been deemed illegal regardless of who was funding it. Anyone who was clued up and wasn't a sycophant had been telling them this repeatedly before the public enquiry. officially killed it dead.

And no, we don't dream of top 7 finishes. If offered now would we take tha as a finish for next season? Yes surely, but that is not success and Everton is a club that's built on that. We dream of trophies and being heavyweight contenders again. Something Kenwright has prevented from being the reality than any single person in the history of the club.

Going to bed now, hopefully I'll wake up to the news that horrible old queen has been forced out finally.

The last three or four pages of this thread have been entirely dictated by a desperate, attention seeking bellend, desperately seeking attention and an unfortunate number of people obliging him.
It's called a debate. You ever tried it?

It's a question to you.
You tell me.

We were you Pillock, we won the league in 1987
rattled.

Bed honey.

That's not an indication it was "illegal".

Ah, nice one for conceding.

That's literally what dreaming in this context is.

nil satis nisi optimum!

If he does reappear for the first home game of the season, could we find the lad who dressed up as the grim reaper for Moyes?

Episode 2 would be so much more apt.

Finishing top 6 a few times, qualifying for Europe, reaching cup finals, signing world-class like Lukaku (our best multi-season striker since Bob Latchford in the 70's).

We've been going downhill for the last 7-8 years (ever since Mosh took over) but before that - under Bill's outright chairmanship - we were consistently best of the rest.

Let's give the old blue his due and save our ire for who's really causing the damage.
Sorry Bill, only the best is good enough, not best of the rest.

Everton should strive to be the best no matter what. It's literally our motto- the phrase put into our badge to represent ourselves.

Kenwright has overseen our decline from the best pf the 80s to this low point in playing performance. He's not good enough to be our chairman and that's without even mentioning his ratbag behaviour last season which should have seen him sacked.

I feel without moyes working miracles with such a miniscule budget we would unraveled decades ago under Kenwright's reign of ineptitude. Moyes basically kept us on life support while Kenwright kept the club's infrastructure and business aspects perpetually stagnated. Which is agree he needs to be jettisoned as soon as possible along with moshiri who is equally naive and has continued to enable the parasite

Cannot disagree with any of this. It would have been interesting to see how Moyes could have progressed if he hadn't hit a wall due to the financial shackles he had to deal with.

How many January windows (and summer I suppose) did we say "one or two quality signings here and we'll break top 4)?

You’re being kind to him with the word stagnated.

I’d say that our infrastructure was dismantled as he sold off every tangible asset we had just to pay off his creditors.

Remember when Bill wrote Moshiris statement when didn't sign Sissoko.

Bill: Tell them we are a family Farhad, they will lap it up.

Moshiri: "Sissoko is a great player. But when I bought into Everton, I made it clear I was proud to join a family. And we don't turn our backs on our own. Keeping James McCarthy was a priority and ultimately we could not proceed with a deal that would jeopardize his place at Everton."
