No one else the least bit suspicious he chooses to release this the same day a major BBC podcast series about how farcically the club was/is run under his directive comes out?

"Mr Kenwright has always been fiercely guarded over his privacy...."

Hardly, this is literally a statement telling the world how he's been in hospital for major surgery. What prompted that?

Personally I don't give one if he gets better or not. I just want him totally removed from EFC, what happens with his health is none of my concern.

I don’t wish heath on anyone obviously and hope he makes a full recovery. However, he clearly is in no health to be a chairman of a premier league club at this stage of his life. You do have to question the club and his family for letting a 78 year old man who’s clearly had health issues to carry on his role which certainly won’t have been helping his condition.
I think there is some thing in employment law that states you can't sack/bin someone who has a cancer diagnosis.

Openly and vocally prioritising football over the mortality of a person is quite odd.

Some very weird posts in this thread.

I never would have wanted them to sack someone with cancer. But he didn’t need to be working right up until the day of his procedure as the statement said. Or he just could have stood down himself?

I've been very vocal about my hatred for Kenwright for over 2 decades on this forum and BlueKipper.

When the fans stood up and applauded his face on the screen against Villa in 2012 I gave up my season ticket.

But, I hope he recovers from his illness and has the ability to spend a few more years with his loved ones.

He should be sacked anyway, nothing to do with his health. There are lies in that statement tonight, when he threw DBB under the bus a while back he claimed to hardly be involved with the club (hence he should have left then as there was no reason to pay him money for doing nothing) Now according to this health update he is working right up until the op date, so what is it then? He won't stand down and Moshiri won't sack/get rid of him as he hasn't got the balls too. I don't and wouldn't wish cancer on anyone, my dad died of it before I had a chance to get to know him, but the whole Kenwright thing is getting a bit silly now imo.

I think he'll be with us until the end of the year. Not sure the club can just let him go without having a replacement ready to step in. Isn't there a legal requirement to have a certain amount of board members and the like? Anyway, once again...
