I think the best thing we can say as a fanbase now is condolences to a man who left behind family, friends and loved ones. He is someone that has been associated with Everton for much of his life so respect is what he deserves, don't let negativity cloud what will be a sad moment for many people. People will rightfully feel whichever way they feel but grief or sadness should be accepted and encouraged, a man passing away is always sad.

All that being said of course, it is also fine for fans to note that he had a negative impact on our football club throughout his tenure. As football fans there is no shame in not feeling grief or that sort of emotion over the death of a wealthy man who controlled an aspect of our lives that we loved. Again, this feeling is fine, just be respectful about it and please don't express "joy" or anything like that, once again this is a sad time for many people and ultimately the loss of a man's life means more than our opinions on a football club, today is not the day for that kind of stance.

Well said. If it’s true then condolences to his family and friends.

Tbh, I agree with him. If you're saying that you're not going to say what you really want to say because its so bad that people would dislike you for it, you might as well just say it.

It's one of those occasions where if you have nothing nice to say, say nothing at all. Your commentary wont be missed.
