RIP Bill Kenwright.
As a Palace fan I always thought he was a very decent fella. He absolutely loved the Blues and always wanted the best for club. I think his heart carried his head at times and in these days of sovereign states and billionaires Bills traditional methods were sometimes coming up short, but never were his intentions other than noble.
RIP Bill, a true Blue and a true football man.
It`s quite upsetting that he tainted his own legacy, should have just gone when Moshiri came in. Apologies this isn`t the time to debate that now and at the end of the day he was a blue, father and grandfather.
Remember who we are.
Everton Football Club have always had dignity and class.
Bill was a true blue. I'm still so proud of what we stand for and much of those values were epitomised by Bill.
Whether this be EITC , promotion of our teams in all walks of life, standing up to the Super League scabs.
I always liked the quote about 'What would Everton do?' when faced with a football quandary - becuase we would always act in the proper manner.
Our football fortunes may have waned over recent years - but we are still in there fighting.
Time to reflect on all the massive contibutions he made to our club - not least Bramley Moore dock.
RIP Bill.
Very sad news. Condolences go out to his family. A great man who had many great moments, he put his heart and soul into the club and did his best. I hope a one or two contentious decisions in 30 odd years won't taint some fans views of him and we continue to remain respectful. He'll be missed. RIP Bill.
A nice coincidence is Moyes being present in the opposition dugout for our next game. Him and Kenwright seemed to have a strong working relationship and clearly leaned on each other a lot during that period. As Bill himself would say, the good times.
