Important one this one, we want to finish above Brum, here is the time, now and only now.
ManU should spank Liverpool and so we could be a point away from them, and how how how sweet would finishing above them again be?
Back to Brum, they are a side like we used to be, greater than the sum of its parts, but getting to crunch time in the league, fatigue is setting in and the solid workers they have relied on are starting to come up slightly short.
Like Spurs we have to beat his lot.
Thankfully we did beat Hull.
To stand a chance at Europa next season we need to win nine of ten, which includes a venture to the place of last seasons best away game at City.
We can beat Brum, we have to beat Brum, but as usual it depends on which Everton turn up, I sure as shyte hope Cahill is playing, we need some bottle and aggression in the middle.
Come on you Blues!!!

That's a bit strong from you Browns, what's happened there to cause that?

Nothing in particular, I just really can't stand it when fans get all excited because they've done quite well and start thinking their players are good when they're actually just average. We had it with Villa last season, Birmingham are doing the same this season. It's like when some of our fans started rating Andy Johnson and tried to put him on a level with the top strikers in the league.

I love that as well, like Hull. Hull were loving it, like Portsmouth.

All loving it. All loving it and acting extra zany for the cameras as they are so modern soccer fans.

And now: SNIFF IT.

Big shout to all of yer in the Gil Merrick (Lower). See yer in town cos its [Poor language removed] by that ground

Tottenham (a) 3pts
Hull (h) 3pts
Brum (a) 1pt
Bolton (h) 3pts
Wolves (a) 3pts
West Ham (h) 3pts
Villa (a) 1pt
Blackburn (a) 1pt
Fulham (h) 3pts
Stoke (a) 1pt
Pompey (h) 3pts
City (a) 1pt

I make that 64pts and a top 6 finish. Given that I predicted the last 3 games as draw, draw, win (5pts) whereas we got loss, win, win and 6pts, I reckon my conservative (but realistic) predictions for the games against Brum, Villa, Blackburn and Stoke could well earn us a possible extra 4pts (Blackburn and Stoke) I don't think we need worry about what other teams do (y)

Looking back at this I see I was wrong with my first prediction so the fact that I predicted a draw at Brum then, but now predict a (1-0) win for us, is no surprise. Things change and the important thing is the final points total. After all, who amongst us thought we'd beat either Chelsea or Utd, let alone both? Even I, the eternal optimist, had to make sure my parachute was in good order as I prepared to be shot down in flames after my draw/win predictions.

I see this as the start of a gap opening up between us and Brum. True McLeish has done a good job getting his team organized and already seemingly safe from relegation, but we've seen it all before and I'll be surprised if they're comfortably in the top half come May, let alone pushing for Europe.

Right, where did I put parachute?
