limping to the finish line.

champions league finally out of reach. villa, newcastle, chelsea and arsenal left to play. uefa looking a bit ropey as well.

come on you blues!

OK. This is the way I see it. None of your negative stuff. You can keep it if you want it, but it does not suit me.

We are 5 points ahead of pompey. If they beat The barcodes then they are 2 points behind us and we are scared???. Well, we are only 2 points behind the RS at the moment. So there is the same chance of us catching them as there is of pompey catching us. And that is just worst case scenario. Newcastle may win. Job done. No tears needed.

So basically I still think we can finish fourth. All with me say AYE.

NIL SATIS NISI OPTIMUM

for all getting worried. The last Brum V RS score was 1-1 also I think at analfield. Chill my friends.

sorry, it was 0-0. but same ol same ol

27th of April ...

Right then. As long as nothing changes in the next 5 mins then everything is as this morning except we are 1 point closer to the [Poor language removed]. Not all bad.

No not all bad.. but not all good either.

We absolutely should have been taking 3 points today.
The memory of the Fulham and West Ham games taste more bitter by the week.

Chelski and arse.. nuff said.
Villa and barcodes are both form teams now..
We'll need to raise our game some and soon.

A win today would have provided an excellent boost going into those games.

I don't mean to be negative but realsitically 4th is far from a done deal guys.

The pedestrian midfield must must must be sorted out. This isn't new, we had exactly the same problem last season. Its become our sticking point. We now have someone up front who knows where the goal is. His ability must become the spearhead of our game. Recently we see him becoming isolated and then coming deeper and deeper in search of the ball.

Yeah sure we have a good points tally and we have improved on last season blah blah.. but if we're to form a serious challenge for silverware next season this lack must be addressed. As long as we have Nev and Cars (reliable and committed as they) starting and running the middle we're not going to get to the next level. We need players in there with craft as well as resilience.

In the meantime I think Moyes really does need to re-think the middle formation. We're so predicatable and ineffective there now - all our recent league games have lacked any real cutting edge. As we are I just can't see us getting much from the next few games and we run the risk of being found out. We have to go into these remaining games with the plan and the means to win them - just scraping by and hoping for the best would be a dispiriting end to what has been on balance a really positive season.

I dont know wether to laugh or cry a point closer the r/s still got the same gap with Pompey and a game less for them to get points to close the gap but fourth is there for the taking and we are not doing it
