Thanks guys for all the birthday wishes(y)
Had a quiet day, took my mother (78 years) and my aunt's (87 years) shopping round, seeing as I'll be away for a while.

Neither of them remembered it was my birthday, not that my mother even knows when it's her own birthday like!!!
It's hard work sometimes trying to communicate with them but hey, that's the way it goes.
So, bye for now guys and I'll be back in a few weeks time.

Have a nice trip. Where is it your off too?

a campsite in mid Wales called Fforest Fields (two f's, it's not a typo). I've been going there for years, it's one of the best sites in the UK if you like peace and quiet, lots of walks from the site, Red Kites and Buzzards flying overhead as well as swallows nesting in the facilities block!
It's got two big lakes in the grounds for canoeing or swimming (not for me) and one for fishing. The lakes are fed by streams straight off the mountain and is crystal clear.
It really is a great site, the owners are very laid back and we've become friends over the years.
A few years ago on one of my early morning walks up onto the hills with the dogs, I walked into a clearing and stopped in my tracks - there were a pair of hares boxing. !!!!
Incredible! To see hares these days is fairly rare but to see them boxing is just a gift from above.
Okay, that may sound a bit poncy to some of you townies (no offence) but believe me, it's a rare sight and I feel priviledged to have witnessed it.

Anyway, I'm staying down there and if the weather is good, I might go down to the Gower for a few days, we'll see.(y)
