There was a huge amount to be made in in the early days. the longer it goes on the more the market stabilises and the investment opportunities decrease.
Also I'd be massively wary of it's online nature when registries/exchanges can just disappear (one shut down over night the last year?) everyone lost everything.

This is what I was getting at, it is forecast to rise hugely BUT it is the brokers who hold it that can be an issue.
