first, read the long, ongoing series in the Financial Times about how Bitcoin (and its many copycats) are almost certainly bubbles.

then again, so is everything else these days

tHE THING WITH BUBBLES IS THEY ARE GREAT UNTIL THEY BURST.

Aarrgh stupid caps

It certainly shows little if any sign of bursting at the moment. As I said,it has had a real positive push in recent months, tying in with the closure of the dark web.

All depends how much risk you're willing to take.

Little to no regulatory oversight = you're on your own if they run off

Would buy from the no.1 broker, remove into my electro wallet, give it 6 months, a year and see where we are at.

Your own chart shows mad exponential growth in recent months and a historic ceiling resistance point broken despite several countries indicating that it will be worthless in their economic zones.

You'd be extremely brave to be buying at this point

Difference though mate - no.1 broker in traditional, regulated markets = good , no.1 broker in an unregulated area linked heavily to criminal transactions = not really worth anything.

Also, as your charts show, you've missed the value. Looking at that, you'd be better of waiting for it to settle again at some around the 850/900 mark and hoping for another spike (perhaps Canada).

Looks to me like it would drop to 850 from a technical perspective but this is a different beast to FX.

edit id need to see a more up to date chart...none of the finance lads I know have touched it

I always invest based on 2013 data, what's the problem here? If you can't extrapolate the data, just pay twice the ask price and you're covered.
