The meme buzzwords are red flags, they have been carried over from 4chan etc.

Who is behind all this and why are lots of people giving them their money?

I’m starting a new currency called GOTCoin. It involves mining GOTMugs by liking as many posters as possible and gaining likes and mugs. It is supervised by a clique of GOTers led by some guy called BootleBighead to ensure only bonafide cliquers receive likes. There are a bunch of internet administrators who close down threads providing opportunities for likes and they have a group of GOTSnitches who provide them with current information. There are a couple of SuperGOTers who hold the mystical keys to this realm and all bow down to them on a regular basis for fear of losing their GOTCoin.....I reckon it’ll make gazillions........

It reminds me a bit of the dot-com boom.

Plainly it's different, but the fundamentals ( ie, there pretty much are none ), are much the same.
But, if someone ( such as @Kev The Rat ) goes into it with their eyes open, and makes a lot of cash, then fair play to him.

I will admit that I hope he gets greedy, holds too long, and gets caught with his pants down though !

Public interest is at an all-time high.

Blockchain tech is naturally in its most developed state so far.


.... so why, if we are on an adoption curve, is the biggest (and most innovative) gaming marketplace turning away from it?

The Australian stock exchange is going to move into Blockchain...'it will deliver realtime clearing and trade settlements'...instead of the CHESS system now in place.
