How many times have we had the better of a game (including last week) and lost? I, for one, will not look a gift horse in the mouth. Maybe a little luck is just what the boys need to get their heads out of their collective asses.

Daylight Robbery

That is the worst I have ever seen the blues play. I'm including the slaughterings to Arsenal and even last season's games against Newcastle and West Brom.

Honestly, it looked like we wanted to lose. Two penalties given away, despite Formica making the most of both, terrible formation, poor, late subs, zero movement, a record-breaking amount of unforced errors and even Ross Barkley conceded a pen.

Then somehow, we got a pen. It didn't look like a pen for me. Not at all. Arteta went to take it and I thought "Don't worry Blackburn, no Baines, so we'll miss this." The net rippled and my jaw and the floor made an audible connection.

Do not let this paper over the cracks -- I say cracks, they're more giant holes, as wide as chicoazul's rectum on a Saturday night -- but nevertheless, let us enjoy this miracle.

Because it is a miracle.

I agree, but that was vast swarms of luck.

The game played above the neck is a funny thing. The optimist in me hopes this will give us a much needed morale boost and get us playing to our potential.

Why is Arteta taking the set pieces anyways?

Stupidly lucky win, which worries me more than pleases me.

...a nightmare for Blackburn.
We were shocking today, really bad, besides a naff side foot over by Fellaini we didn't threaten.
I do not know why it is, but why do all of our players seem so static except for the player in possession? I can't fathom what they do during training to then go out and look so clueless and inept at a weekend.
Happy for the 3 points today, and maybe we deserved at least a point last saturday, but this first win of the season doesn't come close to papering over the cracks.
Just like wednesday night, it took the opposition bringing the game to us for us to step up and actually put some effort in, other sides wont miss penalties against us like today.

maybe mate and i am not disagreeing with any thing you say however how many times has it happened to us and then we fume how crap we have been. So for me, i am just going to enjoy it and hope it's the catalyst to kick start the season. Enjoy boys.
