It was between 11 players. He has done absolutely nothing to earn the armband apart from be old.

We couldn’t manage a goal from open play against a League 1 side.

I can’t believe that those in charge didn’t know that we can’t go into next season without midfield reinforcements, today hopefully brings home the urgency of the situation.

I know it is only a friendly and the result doesn’t matter but surely a friendly is an opportunity to try out what you have been doing in training against a different club, I for one am worried where these players can take us.

Branthwaite has a great build.
Took Holgate about 3 years though to where he is now.
Center-backs always take longer of course.
Often takes more positioning experience with age than outright ability.
Maquire is typical.
£80 mill, as opposed to 30 grand or something, is a risk sometimes worth taking.
Hope he starts well in the new season of course.

People will go on and on about certain players but the ones who stood out in that shocking start to me were the CBs and Kenny and I don't think anyone wants us selling them.

I worry about us going into this season without improving on Seamus, Kenny isn't an improvement.

What is relieving about today tho is that Gylfi and Davies should be our 6th/7th choice centre mids if we manage to get players fit and bring in 2 more.
