Liked the fact that DCL’s first touch leading to the pen was to get it out of his feet and get away. Feel like that would have been trapping the ball and looking for support for an age, breaking the move down before.

Probably clutching at straws though.

For the first time in a while I’m going into the start of a season under no delusion that we really are absolutely cack.

To be fair to Blackpool, I was impressed with the way they played. (I realise it was their last preseason game and they are starting their league soon.)

Why when he misses half of them? Stat padding little bell end, I’ve never been more desperate for a player to leave this club, ever.

I wasnt justifying that he should, just that he is clearly the set pen taker. Personally i always like a striker to have it, its their job to score goals and having a free shot on goal from 12 yards should be an easy goal. Yes sometimes they'll miss but ultimately the top strikers lap pens up left right and centre.
