Last week, I went to a holiday park near Kirkham (full of Scots, actually) , with the faily for a week, and though the park itself was good fun (swimming pool, golf etc) the towns around it had very few reedeeming qualities.

We actually made a pact to avoid Blackpool, due to it being utter [Poor language removed] last time we went, and as you say fleetwood is even worse I didn't like the fact that the Cadburys chocolate shop didn't sell that chocolae with rum in (I've forgotten the name) and I took one look around, and headed straight to the nearest coffee shop to sit around for a few hours.

Also the indoor waterpark in blackpool is massively overrated imo, the one in southport is much better.

Do people from Blackpool think the same about Liverpool?

I was on the Dock Rd yesterday showing a colleague the area by the Heritage market, the bridge and where the Leeds and Liverpool canal intake/outflow starts, a motorhome pulled up with a family in from down South.

The gentlemen approached us and appeared delighted to talk to us and say how much he loved coming here, you could see excitement in his face and feel it in his voice.

Fleetwood has one redeeming quality....an indoor market, one of the best I've visited.

My opinion of Blackpool is as much as it was 5 years ago. No. Ten years ago. Maybe 15.

Nothing changed last weekend then.

As for the game, aren't we great.
