Balls. I'd had a lump on McDonald getting appointed full time.

They're skint as skint can be and Randy needed a cheap yes man.

I can't believe the Villa have a higher wage bill that Spurs with just 19 senior players...

£71million.

Thats a WHOPPING wage bill considering their turnover's not much different to ours.

A Randy owner, and a Bob coach.

This could be interesting, not to mention that Wanking winger.

wages are running at 85% of turnover apparently. No top manager will take a side that he can't add to and the villa squad players (sidwell, reo-coker etc) are unwilling to ship out knowing that they won't get such a hefty wage at their new club. I can see Bradley being the new man as he will just be grateful of a chance in the prem.

Impressive lcab, you beat the internet to that news by a full 2 hours or so. :o

No condolences needed for this US fan, if he quits in pursuit of another job it's a nice honorable way out for both of them. I hope in my idealistic way that they bring in an American to replace him, but I guess that's pretty unlikely.

Everyone seems to be expecting him to automatically bring in Michael to Villa... that's odd to me, it's not like they are a package deal and I don't know if Villa has the funds to wrestle him away from M'gladbach. I just don't see him in the EPL this season - hope I'm wrong those, it'll be easier to only have to follow one league.

EDIT: Still haven't seen anything confirmed, so maybe I'll hold off being impressed for a bit yet... and then I'll be even MORE impressed when you turn out to be right!

I'm quickly learning that lcab's word is gold around here... although his posts are by far the hardest for a Yank like me to decipher.

But yeah, I'll stand on him (?), I believe it, just waiting for official confirmation. Let the "American Player X to Villa" rumors commence!

Once the Brazil match came and gone without an announcement, I think it was given that he was gone.

Cheers , mate , and that is a certainty .

Landy to Villa by Minday .

Demerit, Altidore, Beasley, Spector, Bocanegra, the possibilities are endless. Aston Allstars here we come!
