He gets a bad press and is gaffe prone. In fact, he appears like a total idiot, although an amusing idiot. Perhaps we're missing something and he'll turn out to be reasonable. He'll have to work on his skills as a diplomat, though.

Jeez it appears that the damage that Blair has done to the labour party is neverending.

Right, how the hell did this clown become mayor of London?

Because the people of London are as thick as the people of America - as they both voted for clowns who can only wreck things. And let's face it the rest of the country is just as thick.

Don't tare me with the same brush

Erm, I'm from London so don't tare me with the same brush as those who voted for this total moron.

Truth is that Labour has totally lost the trust of people, and words like "Wel'' listen and learn" will fall on unwilling ears because they've not listened and not learnt.

Mayorial elections are a sort of beauty contest, but add to this a Government going down the pan faster than gravity, you have the recipe for the election of a total baffoon.

Even my 15 year old daughter can see this, why the rest of London can't is a real mystery.

I'm not going to get into all of this but let's face it - New Labour finally pushed their core vote too far and they're finally not going to just swallow the tired old 'vote for us cos we're not the Tories' anymore. All the parties are now right wing of Attila the Hun and that's why I am judging most people as thick because they refuse to vote for any party that isn't right wing.

As an adopted Londoner and voter for Boris I should probably stick up for him. He has a public persona as a bumbling guy but if you look a bit deeper than the media generated facade you'll see a man that's incredibly smart, a darn site smarter than anyone on this board. Read some of his newspaper columns, the magazine he's edited for years or even watch some of his documentaries on Rome etc. and you might see that.

Of course we live in a politically correct age so it's not surprising that many have decided to brand him a racist and so forth.

Speak for yourself - but one thing I do know is that if I were to become a politician I'm not stupid enough to insult a whole city in the country my political party operates in:lol:.

Oh and Rod Liddle (a personal friend of the clown) confirmed that Johnson, bored during a past trip to the Kenyan-Ugandan border, said to their Swedish Unicef hosts and their black driver: "Come on, let's get out and see some piccaninnies."

Johnson has also written of the "watermelon smiles" of African men in his column. So you see I do know what I'm talking about - do you?

And for your information if educational qualifications count for anything I am far more highly qualified than the clown - so do just presume that because we post on a football thread that we are somehow not very intelligent.

One mans insult is another mans common sense. As a society we have become soft, grieving openly for people we have never met and know little of. Likewise we also have an ever growing victim culture in Britain, a culture that suggests the indebted are victims of lenders, that the obese are the victims of McDonalds, the addicted the victims of bookmakers and so on. Never mind about personal responsibility, it surely must be someone elses fault.

On his supposed racist comments I'd rather judge a man on his actions than his words. I know plenty of Aussies that happily call the English poms, is that a racist remark? What about Englishmen who refer to the French as frogs? The phrase sticks and stones springs to mind.

As for your personal intelligence, you hide behind a sudonym attacking a public figure, not to mention seeing fit to brand both residents of our capital city plus the 300 million inhabitants of America as stupid. People in glass houses and all that. It's a pretty futile argument isn't it. I went to Harvard. Can you prove that I didn't?

If you had an formal education you would know that your original argument that the clown is cleverer than anyone on here is completely bogus as there is absolutely no way you could know that, because you have no personal knowledge of the people you judge to be less intelligent than the clown. And it is strange you should attack me for hiding behind a pseudonym when you do exactly the same.

Now I've got far more important and interesting things to do than argue on the internet so I'll say good night Gracie,
