Boss photos you've taken

Our trip to Utah was cut short due to generally crap weather for where we wanted to go ("North, Ms. Tessmacher! North!"). Wind, rain and snow....overnight lows in the mid 20's. No, thanks...not when you're camping outdoors. Forecast up until we left was generally tolerable but Mother Earth laughed at us. We even hooked over to Vegas for a few days in the hopes the 10-day forecast would start to look up but it wouldn't have been better until this Saturday, so we said feck it and came home after a few more days of waking up to my bits having disappeared in to my abdomen, from the cold.

Anyhow, some nature photos...all SW Utah/Zion area.

Bout 150 ft drop, 8 feet in front of me...didn't know until I got to the side of it, but I was standing on an overhang...lol The topography here was crazy...photo doesn't do it justice.

Dinosaur tracks...was mid-day so it was hard to get any contrast on them so they stood out more...the others are even worse, unfortunately.

I'll add more later as I'm sure these are going to bog the thread down...

Utah can be so unpredictable with the weather. When we visited Zion park it was sunny and super hot one day then woke up the next day with snow on the ground and it was still the summer. Same thing with the Grand Canyon, we were really not prepared for the weather to drop that much during the summer so ended up having to purchase some warm hoodies to keep us toasty.

Nice pics!

Looks beautiful there mate and fantastic photos. The penultimate one is top notch, the trees in the foreground with the sun on the rocks in the distance, superb.

nice work bro

A few more, different area, just East of a little town called Minersville...you'd swear you were in Yosemite here, minus the Pines. Supposed to have been a lot of smoky quartz crystals laying around but we saw none of any quality and we went well off the trails. Yes, that's snow on the far mountains...

Break from driving at a petroglyph site North of Cedar City...middle of nowhere, in a break between a mountain range. East was mountains, West was flat scrubland, so you could see why they'd left messages here; you were in for some punishment if you were heading West.

Good ol' desert...set you on fire at noon and turn you in to a popsicle at midnight. :p

Living in AZ, we were used to the fluctuation but the nighttime temps/rain/snow were pushing it. The second night wasn't bad, temp wise, so we slept outside on cots (this is why I tolerate her quirks, she's a trooper) but still ended up getting snowed on about 3AM. It was a light dusting thankfully, but still!
