Not even that long ago shooting colour was considered the unusual thing to be doing especially artistically. Black tips on their ears as well I read just now.Hares have much bigger ears and you tend to only ever see them in open fields or flat scrubby ground.
When they run, their massive back legs become much more visible too.
They’re much more secretive than rabbits as well.
