Yes I agree, black and white takes viewers attention away from colour and focuses their mind on the subject, a good composition like rule of 3rds or leading lines emphasises it even more. In your photo the subject of the kids and length of shadow springs out backed up by the sun ray, it’s very good.

Not even that long ago shooting colour was considered the unusual thing to be doing especially artistically. Very odd how things change

Hares have much bigger ears and you tend to only ever see them in open fields or flat scrubby ground.

When they run, their massive back legs become much more visible too.

They’re much more secretive than rabbits as well.
