Boss photos you've taken

Chico, using extension tubes reduces how much is in focus as well as getting you closer. Macro is very hard to get right because the area in focus is so small, which is why sometimes you get stacked images to make just one (where you takes several photos of the same thing with various parts in focus and they are then literally stacked and blended by software to produce one image (CZ Combine or Zerene Stacker, being the 2 programmes for it).

You can use tubes on any lens, but prime lenses are better (like your 50) as they are usually higher quality glass.

I've now got a 5D MkII and some L series lenses on the way, so if you know of anybody that wants to buy a Canon EOS 550D, with 2 image stabilised lenses, the 18-55 & the 55-250) with 2 batteries and a remote cable release plus a 4Gb memory card, then please get in touch!!!

:)

Paul.

Nice one lid. I got some macro extension tubes so I presume these are best to use with my 50mm prime lens?

When I do use them I can only get a small part of the photo in focus. Where is one going wrong?
