Some night shots...

A moon rise over our field site in Madagascar. There is zero light pollution where we work so when it is clear and a full moon, it is crazy bright:

On nights when there is no moon it gets dark early (it is their winter time), and we sit around a little table and build make-shift lights. This one is a little solar light placed underneath a water bottle. It gives great illumination:

And finally a shot of our tent at night, illuminated by the same solar light as above (a D-Light) that is hanging from the ceiling of the tent:

Technically, I'm a biological anthropologist/zoologist. I study lemurs, called sifaka for my research, and I'm a university professor who teaches classes on this stuff as well as human evolution, human genetics, and human/nonhuman primate behavior. I am very privileged that I get to travel to Madagascar every year for about a month.

Wow! I dreamt of careers like that at school......then I failed my A levels!!
