You can do that with a smart phone and the various apps now mate. For street photography you'll get the results you want.

I used to do a bit when I didn't break my iPod camera, should be getting an iPhone in a few months so there's that box ticked. I'll see where it goes in these next few months if I can save up like.

All my pics are taken with a smartphone, it's your best option for starting out, it serves more than one purpose and you'll always have it with you.

Save your money and use your iPhone instead mate for the time being. It will serve you just as well. Do some research into apps and download something like Picasa from google for post editing. You'd be amazed at what you can achieve with this and it will cost you nothing, well apart from the iPhone cost.

I had a fair few apps on my iPod before I broke the camera, even bought a lens kit for £10 and it was boss. Forgot I even had them tbh. Only got to wait like 3 month for this phone then I should be on my way.
