That centre back for Denmark who was spraying long balls yesterday looked alright although he made some schoolboy errors.

Jesus...ok, had to look him up to remember his name and his bio says he's a "boyhood RS" fan. That's alright then...

Simon Kjaer's the name...

SMELTZ for TEAM NZ

One goal and an assist so far, one of those jammy knees and elbows players.

Bradley & Cherundolo for USA
Gervinho for Ivory Coast
North Korean that scored against Brazil (Park?)
Higuain for Argentina

I haven't really seen anybody who has really stood out that I wasn't expecting too.

A couple NK kids did look good can't remember their names though.

Thought Cha Du Ri (RB) was SKs best player on the pitch against Greece and then didn't start the next match.

Elia? the player who comes off the bench for the Netherlands

A couple Paraguayians whose name isn't Roque Santa Cruz.

The Nigerian Keeper.

Marquez has proven that he's anything but washed up yet.

Switzerland's keeper Diego Benaglio looks extremely solid. Their centre back Grichting does great too, although not sure how he would do in higher defensive line. But I saw him a few times last season playing for Auxerre, and he was excellent too.

Good one. Forgot about him.

Missed penalty aside, I continue to be impressed by david villa. For me I'm not sure there's a better all around striker in the game. Drogba earlier in the year maybe, same w/ Rooney. But Villa is DAMN GOOD. I've said it for years, he's underrated compared to other top strikers in the world.

Can't wait to see what he does at barca next year. If they can offload zlatan, brace yourself for what this guy will produce. He's that good (take him over torres all day, although tbf they bring different qualies & both are top players).

Navas is also quality. Hell, the whole team is littered w/ class. Wouldn't ne surprised if they beat brazil, they just need to find their rhythm at right time.

Villa is probably the best in the world. Besides world class pace there is really nothing that he doesn't do well. Can be physical and also go around a couple players.

If Villa starts from the left for Barça as he did for Spain yesterday, he could do what Henry did at his peak for Arsenal. I'd say him and Rooney are the two most complete strikers in world football

Henry was a joy to watch at Arsenal under Wenger. Grass isn't always greener but I suppose the money is.
