Boss shops you liked that are no longer there

Any memories of shops you liked that are sadly no longer around?


I always liked the Onitzuka Tiger place on College Lane. It was one of the very few places I would traipse into Liverpool One to visit regularly. Always liked their clothing. Very steep prices online nowadays but the in-store cost was a lot more manageable.

Anyone else think of other places now lost?

When I was at uni in Brum, 96-99, there was a little kebab shop called Balti Fair(Fayre?) in the parade of shops by the south gate where the Selly Sausage was. We used to order from there every week. We'd pick up the phone and they would know who we were and what we wanted. Used to do an amazing "wrap" - shish meat, chicken tikka, chips and salad, all wrapped in a giant naan bread, for ~£2.75/£3! Was sooo good.

Coopers on Church Street, many happy memories of trips there in the late 1960's with my grandfather.

The smell of real coffee, long before Costa and Nero, and exotic foods, chocolates etc.
