We wasted two months signing Gueye. Maybe if we could have got him in quickly and brought in a striker, it would have been more than good enough, what with our 'improved' defence and all.

When you have no strikers, and apparently little cash, you cannot, simply cannot, go spending 30m on Onana and another 30m on Maupay and McNeil. Absolutely criminal.

I don’t know Dave. I hope Lampard is given the forwards he needs and is allowed to get us out of this but I fear that Moshiri will act now.

It's premature and there's no groundswell for it.

The pressure will be off Lampard with the World Cup coming and the chance to line up attackers for January.

I'm VERY confident Lampard will be Everton manager still next summer.
