Sure Joshua's going to have to work bloody hard for this one and I wouldn't be at all surprised if Usyk upsets him.

I don’t think it will be a upset, people are just going off Usyks performances at heavyweight, he hasn’t been impressive but style wise he’s a nightmare for Joshua. Joshua struggles with smaller fighters due to him not been able to plant his feet and he hasn’t got the best footwork going. I’m gonna tip Usyk to win this one!

for me physical differences , size and reach give it to Joshua. I think he’ll just have to much , I can see him winning the first couple which will be cagey and very little in them but then gradually wearing him down to stop usyk maybe around 7-9 .

Be interesting to watch that’s for sure but I can’t see passed a title defence , That’s not undermining the abilities of Usyk who I thinkIs a real talent i just remain to be convinced at this weight , at the top level .

Usyk is Joshuas worst nightmare. Southpaw, fast feet, can fight in the pocket and got better boxing skills than Joshua IMO. This will be Joshuas hardest fight to date on paper imo. Ever since the was talk of Usyk moving up to heavyweight always thought he’d be a nightmare for Joshua. After watching Usyk’s last two fights at heavyweight, think his best option is to keep it at distance and let Joshua tire himself out. It will be a great fight and potential fight of the year contender.
If Usyk had power to earn Joshuas respect I would agree, unfortunately he does not. He Dosent have to the pop to keep HW’s honest, and he’s not hard to hit. His movements brilliant but he lingers for too long while throwing.

I would love him to win but I don’t give him much chance.

Buzzing for this scrap tomorrow, even better that it's on at a decent hour for once. Would love Usyk to completely outbox him - and it's very possible. Usyk can take a beating, Chisora hit him with a few big slaps and they didn't really faze him. He's bulked even more now though, just hope that doesn't slow him down at all.

Fancying a flutter of Usyk to win on points @ 4/1

Joshua V Usyk is fascinating for me. Uskys game is pressuring and wearing his opponents down, his output is lower at HW as to be expected, hes a career heaviest tomorrow, surely it will be detrimental. Orthodox V southpaw, both open for straights down the pipe. I hope its a decent fight.

I think Joshua will be too big, and as good as Uysk is, I think this is a bridge too far.

Tend to agree, and a good point about the straights down the pipe, which favours Joshua because that’s all he’s got really expect the odd uppercut, as mad as it sounds a style like Bellew would cause him major problems, a hooker who will trade with you at close range.

People keep bringing up Holyfield as the blueprint for coming up to Heavyweight and beating big guys, but they forget that Holyfield was a human mess of PEDs when he did.

It's not really comparable to Usyk. He's not a big cruiser like Haye was either - same height, but in terms of frame Haye was built completely different and carried his power up easily, whereas Usyk isn't a famed concussive puncher by any stretch of the imagination.

Does Usyk have a shot? Sure. But it is right that he's a massive outside for this one.

Personally I think Joshua stops him inside eight, but if it goes the distance you'd have to imagine it's done so because Usyk has gave him a boxing lesson, and that's the only way I see an Usyk win.

Really interested in tonights fight. I do think AJ is more likely to win, Usyks main chance of winning would be on points but hes started a lot of his heavyweight fights slow and if he goes a couple of rounds down on the cards early hes going to struggle to get a decision even if he boxes well.

Usyk has some odd loses as an amateur earlier in his career. Shawn Porter and Korobov beat him which is odd considering the weight differences between them now.

I don't know why Hearn keeps putting Rickys son on so high in bills. Hes two fights before AJ tonight fighting a journeyman. He should be fighting first on the card, he needs another 10 journeyman fights and they're so dull to watch. Its hardly going to generate a fanbase.
