Boxing

Makes sense considering the 4 min rest and him lying at the end about where he got hit.

If on the off chance he did carry on, Usyk would of been there for the taking.

The corruption in boxing is getting worse.
I don’t know if you’ve watched much of Usyk’s career, if you have. He’s done that before. The exact same shot, he’s gone down off it and milked it til he recovers. Can’t remember who it was against, but he’s done it before. The ref started the count and he got up.

He certainly struggles after shots to the body, shown that through his career.

Totally agree about the corruption. It seems like it’s every week now that something is happening and it’s putting more and more people off watching. Something needs to be done about it before it’s too late. To be fair, it’s already to late but more and more people are walking away from watching.

Watching that fight last night, you realise just how poor Joshua is technically.
I think any decent heavyweight beats Usyk, no question. Wilder and Fury would destroy him

Joshua is technically very good but usyks style was just so wrong for Joshua. Joshua is trying to fight a lot more technically but it doesn’t suit him. Fury beats Usyk but Wilder wouldn’t land a punch on him.

The chat from Dubois's camp and the odious warren is really embarassing

Robbery? No. The fact he needed Warren to speak for him after the fight spoke volumes. His two biggest fights and he’s spewed it twice.

From what angle you look at it, it was gonna split opinion. Was dubious in the fight up to the body shot? No.

Pretty much my sentiment, you can argue its a bad call but bad calls happen and it was borderline. I thought it was low when watching it live. Its not like the fight went to to points after, his man got stopped conclusively. If you don't like the call in the fight so what, stop crying and finish the job. To go on and essentially call Usyk (a legend in the sport) a cheat is really poor.

Its a shame for Dubois as there are defeats and there are bad defeats, this is one that would and might still enhance his rep and get him bigger fights.

Personally I’d say this defeat was worse than the Joyce fight. At least he had it in his armour that his eye was a mess. He went down off a straight right to the eye.

Usyk has done this before. The exact same shot, he got up off the floor and beat the count. Exactly what would have happened if the ref started the 10 count. He’s a master at this. The problem is, people like to throw the word corruption and commentators don’t know what they are talking b about cos they watch fights. Half the people on this forum or boxing fans only watch the big fights or superstars fight so they make assumptions of that or what people on twitter or commentators say cos they don’t understand boxing.

Against Joshua with the same ref. Doesn't prove anything. Wasn't he stopped in the amateurs with body shots? I know he was defo floored and hurt a few body shots back then, once by Beterbiev. You said yourself he struggles with body shots and he's probably never been punched as hard as that before either.

Even if he did get up, he was hurt and there was 2 and a half mins left of the round left for DDD to get to him.

I'd agree with it being too late though. The politics and corruption is probably a big part on why the younger generations are leaning towards UFC

All this talk of the body shot is doing a great job of disguising the fact DDD quit again. He deserves a pass for the Joyce quit due to the nasty injury but what happened in the Lerena fight and how it ended on Sat it doesn't look good for him

Can’t remember what fight it was but he’s done it in the pros. Pretty sure it was on the super series. He’d of got up because he wasn’t in typical pain that a body shot does you with. He knows his to play the game Usyk and he done it on Saturday again.

Just my opinion hed of gotten up from it.

Thing is, there is dodgy decisions in the UFC and corruption. They just know how to market the sport better and market fighters. Boxing doesn’t. Instead of promoters working together, rather slate each other instead of making fights happen.

Exactly why Warren was demanding a no contest. It was done to protect Dubious in the future because it was clear he didn’t wanna be in there and was evident he quit.
