Boxing

The veneration of the hyper wealthy. Were things really that different when fighters were owned by the mob (mafia)? There are bad people doing bad things everywhere, no where with significant public interest is immune. Was the don king era any more or less suspect or acceptable?

We queue up to understand footballers when they jump ship and take a more lucrative contract elsewhere, "it's a short career, they're only looking after their family" etc.

I look forward to when boxing evolves past the current incumbents. But if it's musk and co, I'll be tuning out instantly.

I'm not sure I see the House of Saud as being much different to Musk & Co in some ways, they're just trying to export an extremist and totalitarian political Islam around the globe rather than fascism or technofeudalism.

I suppose Musk and Co aren't dismembering dissident journalists or chopping people's heads off yet, but give them time...

And yeah, fair point about the Don King era. I'd have missed the Rumble in the Jungle by the same measure, too.

Eubank on top here.

Chris snr involved walk out and ringside is odd, seeing as this is his nephew, yet has fallen out with his son. I understand he doesn't want the Benn mither and why.

He's knackered here. Tired. Wondering about the weight to be honest. Not a great shot, timed very nice, again, left hand discipline gone walkabout.
