Boxing

Not seen too much of Adonis Stevenson. Is anyone backing Bellew to beat him or is he going to be overpowered? It's in Canada as well isn't it
he will be a massive underdog, but he takes a dig and gets up from it, if he keeps it long and uses his jab , which I think is underrated he could frustrate Stevenson, and he is much the bigger man as Stevenson has fought at a lower weight most of his fights, I am not writing Bellew off if he goes into the later rounds., just getting there will be the problem this fella can bang and is quick, it will be some performance to win it over there but he has heart and more skill than given credit for so I hope he does it

He's been flat footed and looked tired from the 6th or 7th the last few times I've seen him. His conditioning needs to be spot on for this one.

I'd love to see one of ours boxing at GP.

I said a few fights ago he should change his training/trainer as he seemed to be losing something , I cant put my finger on it , but I think he is a far better boxer than he has shown in his last few fights, then again his opponents haven't helped him shine due to there styles, so hope that its the case of someone coming at him will see him open up, I am 100% rooting for him , if he believes he can win, he is bigger no mug and has a shot so you never know. cant wait

I agree. I'm not really sure either. One thing though, most of the top level fighters can box the 10th round as if it's the first. I haven't seen that from him yet. He can't afford to tire and let the judges screw him if he's done well earlier in the fight.

That said it's unlikely the rounds will get into double figures with them two.

most of Stevenson fights are over early, only been 12 th once and 10th once I think, but he has been ko,d by darnell boone so isn't the superman of his nickname , he did avenge that by the way, like I said if tony can get it into the later rounds who knows, stevenson holds his right awful low and goes backwards if he gets hit by a few jabs on the run , so there is room for a bomb to land if he isn't careful, quick as hell most of the time like to be honest, so it will take something to land one.

Pacman started to slide once his camp lost their juice though

Thats really a matter of opinion though, do you know this for certain ? Just out of interest,do you think JMM was on them for their last bout, his strength and conditioning coach has a very shady past ?

any thoughts on rios v pacman, personally think rios is made for pacquio, unless Manny is seriously on the slide

Really looking forward to this, just watched the 24/7 episodes, there was a scouse lad sparring with Manny, they do a great job of getting you excited for a fight, reckon this could well be a cracker, its hard to picture Rios being in anything other than an exciting fight. I think its the perfect comeback fight for Manny, if he loses, that should be that, whether it will is another matter, money talks, but a loss will pretty much guarantee he wont get back to the top. If he gets the win in decent fashion by being the first to stop Rios then the big fights could still be ahead.

Roach will have been looking forward to this since Margarito, Rios and Garcia mocked his parkinsons in the build up to the Margarito fight, adds a bit of spite to the fight.

Reckon Manny by stoppage, round 9.

I agree pacman should stop him, if he's in anyway still got it he wins this fight, the sort of fighter that is made for his style. Regards juicing, I'd say both pacquio and JMM are very suspect in that regard, but considering the nature of the sport, boxing itself is a bit of a joke with drug testing

No suprises from Rios, taylor made for Manny, fair play on the win, but is he still what he was, not for me

Not at all. Mayweather would destroy him.

I'm glad he's won though as his legacy was on the line after two defeats on the spin, but he should either bow out on a high, or take another tailor-made fight or two and let people remember him for his dominance when he was right up there with the best, rather than for a drubbing by Floyd.
